You are longing for a wholly distinct experience when playing your instrument? You want a full and rich sound? Then you are right in our company!
A good headjoint decides 80% of a beautiful flute sound. In comparison to silver headjoints, the wooden headjoint can influence the noble and bearing flute sound far more. The sound volume of amateur flutes can be improved and refined multiple times through a wooden headjoint.
Each of our models is also available with our patented Tuning “Pieno Flauto”!
Characteristics:
Easy to play with a very good vibration behaviour combines all the advantages of a high-quality headjoint. (Suitable for children and youths, as well as for amateur players. Very good cost/performance ratio.)
Characteristics of manufacturing:
Basically, the tone colour can be described as follows:
The wooden headjoints captivate through their volume and vigorous flute tone. The models vary according to the types of used wood, whereby the sound spectrum is fully comprehensive in its range from the clear, rich, high flute tones to the round, low tones. Herbert Neureiter manufactures them from dark Grenadilla wood and different types of precious wood suitable for all conventional flute brands from school flutes to handmade silver and gold flutes.
The experiences of flute teachers at the music schools who use these wooden headjoints already in their lessons, show that the wooden headjoint enables students an easier access to the playing of flutes. It is also well-proven for students who have problems with the embouchure. In a very short time they are able to produce beautiful, open, clear tones. The wood always feels warm on the lips and the problem of nickel allergy plays no role anymore.
The wooden headjoints are also excellently suitable for chamber music and ensemble. The sound blends marvellously and also higher pitches are very pleasant to listen to and to play. For soloists we also offer our handmade wooden headjoints made of other types of precious wood.

Advantages of caoutchouk “Ebonite”:
Most people associate “tuning” with fast cars in motor sports. By definition, however, “tuning” means “a process in which one or more parameters of a device or model are adjusted upwards or downwards to achieve an improved or specified result.” “Tuning” is therefore also interesting in the sector of manufacturing instruments. Our goal is to make the most of our products. Therefore, we call our patented headjoints “Pieno Flauto”, meaning “full flute”, because our innovative technology – regarding sound and design – always guarantees the full maximum.
